DevDay 2025
From Internal Initiative to Ecosystem Pillar A year ago, when we launched the #TechDays initiative, our goal was simple—to bring together engineers from across the Bir ecosystem (Birbank, PashaPay, Birmarket) and create a space where knowledge and experience could be shared internally. Today, that idea has grown into DevDay.az, an open platform for the entire technology community. DevDay 2025, held on October 11, successfully transformed this vision into the premier event for discussing the future of technology and innovation in Azerbaijan. Key Achievements and Impact DevDay 2025 focused on unifying and upskilling the tech community, positioning it as an essential catalyst for the Azerbaijani innovation ecosystem. High-Quality Knowledge Transfer: The event brought together experts in critical disciplines—specifically IT Business Analytics, QA, and DevOps—to share hands-on experiences and technical expertise through highly interactive sessions. This direct, practical knowledge exchange helped to close skills gaps and align local talent with global standards. Community and Collaboration: By opening the platform, DevDay provided vital opportunities for participants to connect with seasoned professionals, forge new collaborations, and strengthen their collective presence in the ecosystem. This fostered the high-energy environment necessary for sustained innovation. Driving Forward Momentum: DevDay 2025 was more than just educational; it was an inspirational experience. By focusing on upcoming innovations and the "future of technology," the event actively contributed to advancing the technology ecosystem, supporting the nation’s broader digital transformation goals. Justification for "Tech Event of the Year" Nomination DevDay 2025 deserves recognition because it represents a significant evolution in the local tech scene. It successfully transitioned from a private internal event into a high-impact, inclusive, and professionally focused public platform. The event delivered deep, technical value in essential fields (QA, DevOps, IT BA) and played a crucial role in empowering the next wave of Azerbaijani tech talent, making it a true Ecosystem Pillar of the year.
