WRC Azerbaijan 2025

WRC Azerbaijan 2025 is the national stage of the international World Robot Championship (WRC) in Azerbaijan, which brings together robotics, engineering, aviation, artificial intelligence and other technology fields. The project has been organized every June since 2023 with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy (AREA). The main goal of the project is to increase interest in technology among young people, develop their engineering and creative skills, and form the ability to work in a team and think innovatively. The Azerbaijan final for 2025 took place on June 28-29 at the Baku Sports Palace. 120 teams (360 participants) selected from 760 applications competed at this stage. Young people aged 8-30 can participate in the competitions. The event has several categories: WRC BotsCombat – remote-controlled combat robot competitions, WRC RC Craft – radio-controlled aircraft construction and control, WRC Drone – drone speed and skill competition, WRC RoboSoccer – robot football, and technological subcategories such as Fastest Line Follower. Azerbaijani teams represent the country in the international final stage and participate in the World Robot Championship to be held in New Delhi, India in 2025.
